Sometimes, it seems that no matter what you do to help someone it's never enough. They are the kind of people that you need to leave alone. You need to leave them alone because they have issues that they need to handle on they own. Maybe in the future you can be friends again but now is not the time. They need to go on their quest and find happiness and trust; happiness is what will set them free.

Who is Val Johnson?

I'm a singer/songwriter from Brooklyn and Queens New York.

Brooklyn and Queens New York?'

Yea because I grew up in both boros. So I rep both.

How long you've been singing?

I've been singning since I was a baby. My mom would always play old school artist like Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, Sade and Tina Turner. At first I was rapping then I got back into singing around the 7th and 8th grade.

What's the first thing you would say to someone when they ask you to describe yourself as a artist?

I would say I'm handsome and swag. I have great energy. I'm a prolific writer and expressive with my feelings when I sing.  

How long have you been in the industry?

I would say 2 years because I drop my first buzz record "Is It Me You Want" 2 years ago. That was an official record where it was recorded professionally and mastered. That song I'm very proud of. That's my baby.

What inspires your music?

Life inspires my music. Things that I've been through; I express in my songs. Whether it's love, my swag, sadness, break up, happiness or partying. I would also say a lot of artist like Trey Songz, Neyo, Usher and The Dream.

So what are you working on now?

I'm working on my EP called "Already Mainstream Vol.1". The first single is "I'm Handsome"

. I released it over a year ago and people are catching on to it. Girls call me Mr. Hand$ome and people want to do remixes to it but, I went back and redone it, so it's fresh for 2013.

What do you want future fans to know about you?

I want them to know that I represent great energy and I came to inspire and bring back that energy into music.
